In addition to directing each year at UAB, Valerie has been fortunate to work in theatres across the country and around the globe.
For five summers, Valerie was a guest director at Weathervane Playhouse in Ohio directing Oklahoma!, The Pajama Game, South Pacific, Pippin and Matilda. Most recently, she directed Cinderella at Red Mountain Theatre. Her other directing or associate directing/choreography credits include You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown at Otterbein University, The Great Gilly Hopkins and A Little House Christmas at Columbus Children’s Theatre, The Producers at Virginia Repertory Theatre and Annie at the Pioneer Theatre. As the Head of Drama at Campion School, a British international school in Athens, Greece, Valerie directed seven productions including Godspell, which toured to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the summer of 2010. She is a proud Associate Member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Union.
